History
The WP Human Capital Group emerged in 1994 under the leadership of its founder and Managing Partner Dr. Günther Würtele from a leading global auditing and management consultancy firm, initially with one company, Dr. Günther Würtele Personalberatungsgesellschaft, for executive search.
In the years that followed, the other companies for interim management and supervisory board services were founded and built up until 2004.
The founding of the media and information company also took place during this period.
This period also saw the systematic development of our international activities through companies and representative offices in other countries in order to be able to further develop our international business (which has always accounted for approximately 50 percent of our total business).
In 2020, the first sector company was founded as an independent legal entity, Mobility and Industrial Solutions.
In 2021, WP Transformation Solutions AG was founded.
The Founder
The founder and unchanged Managing Partner of the group is Dr. Günther Würtele. Born in 1958, Günther Würtele studied and obtained his doctorate at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Mannheim. He began his career in 1983 at Arthur Andersen. There he was assistant, project manager, authorised signatory and finally managing director and partner. Since 1994 he has been a partner and managing partner of the WP Human Capital Group. As Managing Director, his focus is on filling C-level positions. He also specialises in filling top management positions in companies undergoing restructuring or transactions.
